What is a Relational Database

Database is a repository of organized collection of data such that data can be easily stored, maintained and retrieved.

Relational database is a database management system (DBMS) that is based on the relational model as introduced by E. F. Codd. The relational model represents the database as a collection of relations. A relation is a jargon used in RDBMS concepts to specify a table.

NOTE

→ Jargon means words used by IT professionals in RDBMS world.
